Me and some of my family are possibly looking to start horse back riding lessons on our private farm, and were wondering how much it would cost to legally have the "business".
Do you have teaching qualifications? Do you have lots of steady, predictable, push-button horses and ponies of various different sizes and abilities? Have you researched the market? Do you have insurance?
Plenty of quality teaching yards have gone out of business in recent years due to the rocketing costs of insurance, feed, and other bills. They've had business plans and have been on the go, with top level instructors, for many many years.
Just having a horse or two does not qualify you to set up as a riding school. I'd give it serious thought, if I were you.
