Horse owning supplies?

I’ve only just started horseback horse riding lessons Guide Amazon.com’;return true;” onmouseout=”self.status=””>riding, and I don’t even have the correct riding apparel. I’m unlikely to buy or even lease a horse anytime soon. However, I was wondering what supplies do you need when you do buy a horse. I want a thorough list, please

If I were you, I would not go out and buy all this stuff at once! I did that and don’t use half the stuff I bought. You can just buy as you go…

I would buy the basics:
Hoof pick
Hard brush
Soft Brush
Curry Comb
Comb for mane
Bucket to hold all of the above
Halter and lead (only if your lease horse does not come with this)
Fly spray
Helmet
Good pair of riding boots (it’s worth it to splurge on these, you will use them for a long time)
And if you are riding english, you need to get those goofy stretchy pants, ;o)

When it comes to tack, you can go to tack auctions to get it really cheap… then later when you have developed preferences on your tack, you go ahead and buy the good stuff. But a lease horse usually comes with tack… so you really wont have to buy this until you buy a horse.
